as i've promised,

you know, i always believe that there's a beauty in walking away.

so the beauty in resigning from SCB was that i had more time to sleep, more time for myself and my loved ones and of course, my studies.
there IS a scratch there though, the digits in my bank are getting lesser by the day.
meh.
it was heart breaking to hand in the items above to Alvin (my then manager) especially the tag,
cause with the tag i could easily get to any departments.
and also, even if i felt that the weight was lifted of my shoulders,
i had a little feel of regret, as though i was walking out on my 3 months worth of sweat and effort.
it's a lot to digest, cause there's no turning back.
well, not exactly. i had a little more privilege since i was considered a senior staff there.
i can return to serve SCB when i feel i can concentrate fully on the job, without using studies as an excuse to not work.
i hate to start over, new environment, people,bosses.
that's life, what can i do?
i've learnt alot, and it really comes in handy especially in the course i'm taking.

customer is always NO1 & right.
courtesy and politeness takes into account.

so it's April already, and the thought of me getting a year older is not COOL.

so anyway, i had salmon for dinner at Gan's place yesterday.
i ate it anyways since Aunt C. said i have to learn to eat fish.
and then she said the more fishy smell and taste there are, the fresher the fish was.

i still hate fish.

except for log fish, cod fish and dory fish.
all three are really expensive.

Up until WWII, chewing gum was made of a substance called chicle mixed with flavorings. Chicle is a latex sap that comes from the sapodilla tree (native to Central America). i tell you, Singaporeans are so innovative. :)
Whatever is non-carbonated drink as u can see from the picture. ranges from Green tea to Fruit juices.
Anything is carbonated, and it offers cola,orange,sarsi and if you're so damn unlucky.. you'd get soda water.
the canned drinks are packed in a way that you wouldnt even know what type of flavour you'd get unless you open it.
u could get it from Carefour Tropicana City Mall or Jusco Pyramid.

i dread this week. i have classes everyday! :(

i've just finished my financial accounting for hospitality industry mid term & Human resource.
i'm happy cause i nailed it. oh well, let the results speak! *prays*

oh, do you know that there's this cervical cancer prevention jab, available every where now?
the one i went for was RM500 for 3 doses, which is at a promotional price that ends on the 31 March 09.
u can actually take it everywhere, clinics,hospitals, diagnosis labs like BP lab in Uptown.
this is only applicable to ladies by the way.
oh, and the promo price is only available at BP lab in Uptown..i think.
i didn't source it out.
each jabs must be taken at 1 month intervals.
it's like a normal vaccination jab,where u'd feel numb and tired.
u might get fever too, depending on how your body reacts towards the dose.
though it's not for life, but apparently there's still an ongoing research on this jab.
consider taking it, cause in April, the price will go back to normal which is quite expensive..RM1000++

have you EVER wondered how cotton candy machine works?

i did a lil research.. waLLAH!

Cotton candy is nothing but pure sugar. To make the sugar "cottony," you need four things:

Heat to melt the sugar and turn it into a liquid
A set of very small holes that the liquid sugar can flow through to form threads of sugar
A spinning head that slings the liquid sugar outward so it is forced through the holes
A bowl to catch the threads

The head contains the heater to melt the sugar and make it liquid. Then, by spinning the head, the cotton candy machine forces the liquid sugar out through tiny holes in the head. The instant the thin threads of sugar hit the air, they cool and re-solidify, so in the bowl of the machine a web of sugar threads develops. The web is easily collected on a paper cone.

If you mix water with cotton candy it instantly dissolves, and you can see that it's nothing but a tablespoon or two of sugar filling the entire bag. It's amazing how much you can charge for sugar, air and a little coloring!

COST IS REALLY CHEAP.

Seafood Bisque.
oyster,cod fish,scallop,prawn,squid & muscle was served generously.
tasted not bad. but then again, tomato base is not to my liking.
the waitress was really thoughtful enough to suggest that we order one portion and separate into two smaller soup plates.
she's really an asset for the restaurant.

Roasted Pork belly served with Mashed potatoes and Sauteed Vegetables.
except that there's no veges cause fats dont like em.
Comes with Brown sauce as well.
i personally think that they roast better pork belly than euro deli.
and they only serve this during Pub Hols & weekends.

Braised pork ribs served with mash P, Sauteed Brocs & honey sauce.
this taste really awesome.
better than the roasted belly.
the meat was not too soft that the meat breaks up immediately when you chew, so FOUR THUMBS UP to this!

cheat people one.you see, they charge customers by the grams.. so this clam shells are soo huge and heavy, plus i'm sure you can see the size of the meat, so obvious that the restaurant makes money more than they're supposed to! :(

i promised for a perky post and here it is.
family decided to visit U.Roger & A.Jenny in Alam Damai, but this time round the FOUR legged followed as well.

i meant the poodle.
Lim family has a dog as well. a shih tzu named Lucky, to be precised.
i dont quite fancy him cause he's always so moody and jumpy and his eyes really pop the hell out of his eye socket.

okay. so we brought Louie along as well and we separated them as we fear that they would start fighting cause of their male ego.
fine, then Louie got so excited when Lucky was staring at him with that pair of huge eyes.

hello,
i had alcoholic beverage class today. :)
though it was very extremely minor, i've learnt so much and i definitely understand better about alcohol.
to many people, alco is just for them to tanni until they're pissed drunk / tipsy.
heh. i bet, 80% of them do not even know how alcohol was produced, where, what are the methods, why is it the percentage that amount, etc.
come on people, what's the internet for? GOOGLE LAAA DUH!
to me, it's good to know or have sufficient knowledge about the drinks that you consume.
even if jeff had told me ALL about it back in '07, i now know that he skipped damn alot of things.
it's interesting to learn about it, who knows.. you might even be able to produce your very own home made wine/alco.
remember not to get yourself too into it though, i'm pretty sure that home made alco is illegal in Malaysia.
why do you think all the governments in the world stress that all kinds of production must have license?

back to class, Mr.Chong requested us to create 2 cocktails beverage based on the varieties of liqueur,additives,rum,gin,brandy,vodka,tequila.

rum,gin,brandy etc is known as the base of a cocktail drink, where most alco percentage comes from the base.

additives are also known as mixers, ie: cola,milk,7-up, orange juice,pineapple, ribena, etc

liqueur are known as modifiers, where all liqueur have very extremely sweet taste, and different colours to make cocktails more appealing and as well as to assist in making the base taste better. in addition to that, liquers have a slight alco content which ranges from 20 - 30%. for example, bolt blur curacao, tia maria, kah lua, etc.

we've managed to come up with our own, but according to Mr.Chong the first drink we mixed was similar to one of the classic cocktails. bah.
it was created based on my preference actually, i love blue curacao. hehe. :)
i remembered jeff telling me about it cause he liked the blue colour. :D

first drink:

Base: Vodka
Modifier: Blue Curacao
Additives: 7-up, pineapple juice
Method: Shaken with ice, poured to crushed ice in the glass.
not telling you the portions! it's totally up to the glass size that you're using.
we kinda screw up on the glass size though. :(

all thanks to BLUE CURACAO! it's a miracle. :)
fear not,this brand doesn't only come in blue, there's green,red,orange, purple, yellow, etc: you name it!

Second drink:

Base: Rum
Modifier: Kah Lua
Additives: Milk
Method: Shaken with ice

in the beginning, we wanted to add 7-up as well, but Mr.Chong laughed when he heard us planning to add 7-up. so we amended it.
colour was definitely unappealing as you can see,
but it tasted real good. cause of the coffee after taste.
it was much better when some joker added Tia Maria in,
which added a lil choco&cherry taste.
if i wasn't mistaken.
i knew it, i would have enjoyed learning this, but mommy wouldn't let me go to bar tending school cause i'm a girl.
this SUCKS!

oh a lil tip here: u cant use the ice that you've shaken with the base,modifier and additives. you gotta use fresh ice if you want to include ice in the glass.
i still prefer shaved ice yo.
and another: if your additives is carbonated, u cant shake it in the shaker though, you gotta pour it in only after you have the mixed ingredients in the glass.

later, we headed to subang for awesome seafo<3od>

butter crab, the meat was so succulent and sweet. i loved it.
i personally think it's better than pantai seafood.

deep fried mantis prawn.
though the meat was not as much as its what you see, (just a wee bit only, sad.)
it was waaaay sweeter than ordinary prawns, and nicer to chew. total yums!

gigantic clams lightly fried with puree garlic & ginger
nothing to shout about, besides the size lah.

fresh abalone braised with .. i've no idea.
it tasted like chicken stock though =/
we ordered only one, just to try out.
nyeh.

wonder how big the mantis prawn meat is like? that's the one, plus bits and pieces which was already in jeff's stomach in NO TIME.

i loved this deep friend mantao. definitely the best i've ever eaten.
the balance of sugar and salt was perfect, and it was so crunchy on the outside and yet soft & fluffy on the inside.
PERFECTO! i like.

as pathetic as it may sound, but this is the biggest crab claw i've ever eaten in my entire life. laugh la. who's the one that's munching on them? hehehe.

i'm a happy girl now. :)

okay, so it's a living fact that most people HATE, and i repeat, H-A-T-E cockroaches.

*squeals like a bimbo*
and i am one of the most people. hence.. i bring you some cockroach facts that i found when i was being lifeless in G's residence.
i'd follow Uncle P and Aunty C to see grandma, but i felt like staying in. hee =)

so,
fact no1 : A cockroach will live nine days without it's head, before it dies of thirst.
my as well just die on the spot. why would it wanna aim around head-less and bump into dirt? omg.
it's like a living zombie but a cockroach-non-flesh-eating version

fact no2: The cockroach is the fastest animal on 6 legs covering a meter a second.
another omg. super fast right. no wonder they get away so quickly.
*another bimbo squeal*

fact no3: Its brain is not in its head. It’s scattered throughout its body.
ya meh? maybe cause the brains are all over their body, they could function much faster? okay, though my hatred towards them are beyond, i cant deny the fact that these creatures ARE smart. urgh.

fact no4: their set of eyes are made up of 4,000 individual lenses
geez,they're worst than BUGS!

fact no5: Male cockroaches transfer sperm to females in a "gift-wrapped" package called a spermatophore. Some males cover the package in a protein-rich wrapping that the female can eat to obtain nutrients to raise her young.
wth?! i really wanna know how they mate. :)

fact no6: Roaches love onions.

fact no7: Roaches eat meat, they are omnivores, so they will eat just about anything including dead animals.

fact no8: A cockroach that has just shed its skin is white with black eyes

since fear factor AXN came up with a ballistic idea of letting their contestant munch on this cockroach, their rise to fame whoop-ed up in just a few episodes. yuck. and they hiss. *goosebumps*

can u imagine yourself eating this? and they hiss in your mouth. double eww.

3) Giant Cave Cockroach
this roach is a little batty! It frequently lurks in caves occupied by bats.
i think they're petty lil thieves too! they makan all the bat's remaining food.

oh and to answer the question above,
roaches mate tail to tail .______________.

here comes the myth of cockroaches.

1) roaches don't hibernate. This also is false, even in the Northern U.S. there are species of wild cockroaches that hibernate.

2)Cockroaches do not bite. False. The larger roaches have even been known to bite humans.
yerrrr. my mom said they bite too.especially when you dont wash your feet before you sleep at night. imagine em going into your mouth.

3)Roaches only live in dirty homes. Wrong. Roaches live in the walls of even clean homes, they have larger colonies in less clean homes because there is a bigger food supply available

4)Cockroaches are active all night. That is not exactly true. Roaches are primarily active for a 4 hour period of your household's normal "lights out" time. Although, they can be seen at other times as well.
well, based on personal experience.i see them mostly at night. grrr.
